What a busy weekend!
Friday was a lazy day. Hubby had the day off and spent most of his day napping on the couch. With all the freelance he has been doing on top of his regular work, he’s pretty worn out. That night Hubby, brother-in-law John, and Russ went to the Ice Dogs game. Hubby’s sis, my niece, Munchkin and I watched movies at the their house. It was nice and relaxing. The Ice Dogs lost though.
Saturday morning we got up and started getting ready around 8. It was a little chaotic with trying to pack to go to Niagara Falls, figuring out what we needed to take and bathing Munchkin. But we managed to get out the door with all of munchkin’s stuff and the roast around 12:45. Spent the remainder of the day at the IL’s for Easter dinner.
That night we quickly came back home, grabbed Dakota and our stuff and headed to the Falls. We arrived around 9pm. It was a quiet night. Hubby fell asleep on the couch. Munchkin didn’t fall asleep until 11:30. But she slept until 9am! Woo hoo!
Sunday morning we went to church. Susan and Kyle sat in front of us. Kyle and Munchkin had fun looking at each other. Kyle was baptised the same day as Munchkin. Sunday afternoon, around 3, we picked up Grandma L(Nana) and then headed for the border. With our finger crossed we approached customs. With Munchkin not having a birth certificate and just a travel letter, we weren’t sure how the custom’s people would be. But everything was fine. We picked up Gramma and proceeded to my Aunt’s. Dinner was great! She set a beautiful table and the food was delicious! Munchkin spent time with GG and Nana. She wanted to be up and standing on her feet so they didn’t really get to hold her. But Aunt B did.
Sunday night was another quiet night. Hubby had to work on Monday, and since I forgot my glasses at Aunt B’s we planned to go to her work and pick them up.
Monday morning, Dad drove Hubby to his freelance work and Hubby realised that he had the keys for the truck So mom and I headed to Stoney Creek and got the keys, came home, had lunch and then went to Aunt B’s. We got back just in time to pack up the truck and head to Stone Creek to pick Hubby up.
Phew! Home at last!
