Dawn recently blogged :
“I was REALLY excited about Mapsgirl starting a new blog, but hers only has eight posts and already, it’s lonely and neglected.”
And I would agree with her; it is lonely and has been neglected. So now I’m posting to try to explain the barrenness that is my blog. And I can do that in three words: Munchkin and Peanut.
These two little girls are my world…and I’m pretty sure they make it spin faster than those scientists have proven.
Last week I was busy getting ready for Munchkin’s two birthday parties. Saturday was dinner with our families and Sunday was an afternoon gathering with friends. Throw into the mix getting the furnace installed and ducts cleaned and last minute shopping and you end up with no time for anything. Maybe it wasn’t my world spinning faster but just my head ready to spin off.
So Sunday night we finally got to breath, only to have the craziness start again yesterday. The furnace guy was back but didn’t arrive until almost noon. He asked if he could come back today to finish up and I, of course, said yes. And I’m glad I did, because he was here from 9am until almost 8pm. 11 hours!!
After 2 days of being stuck in the house, Munchkin was going a little stir crazy. Luckily new birthday toys were exciting enough that she played with them repeatedly. Peanut is teething (number 5 and 6) so is crabby and not napping very well. Banging and drilling doesn’t help with that either.
Good thing my in laws are watching Munchkin tomorrow so I can start putting my basement back together and hopefully get Lauren’s routine back on track.
It’s amazing how two little people can run one big person ragged…especially when both of them don’t nap. I end up being the one who needs a nap!
