They won!! They won!! They won!! They won!!
And we were there to see it!!!
Here is the game recap from nhl.com
Yesterday started as a regular Saturday morning with breakfast and cleaning. Just before lunch my brother and his wife arrived because they were taking care of the girls while we went out. After lunch, Munchkin and I headed out for a going-away party for one of her friends who’s moving away.
The party ended at 3:30 and we rushed home so that Hubby and I could catch the GO Train at 4:25pm. I changed my clothes (had to have my Leafs jersey!), gave my bro and SIL the rundown on schedules and general kid stuff and we headed out the door.
Hubby and I were making this a big night out to celebrate Valentine’s Day and it was the 7th anniversary of when we got engaged.
The train ride was uneventful and we pulled into Union Station on time. We decided to grab some wings and beer at The Loose Moose. Tho plans might have changed if it wasn’t a 35 minute wait at Jack Astor’s. We walked into The Loose Moose and grabbed a seat (no wait). We ordered beers and wings and everything arrived very quickly! We watched a few basketball games while we ate. And since I wasn’t driving, I had another pint before we left for the ACC.
When we looked at the tickets again, we realized how awesome our seats are! We were in the REDS!! Woo hoo! We were in the last row just before the private boxes. We could have had food and drinks delivered right to our seats. Tho walking 20 steps to the bar saved us $5!
The game was great! It went into overtime when Boston scored with only 50 seconds left in the 3rd. But it didn’t have to go to a shoot out when Tucker scored!! (I heart Tucker!)
We then made our way back to Union Station. We had to wait so we grabbed a couple Blizzards from DQ. Yummy!
Back at the house, all was quiet. Peanut fought going to sleep (as I kind of expected she would since this was the first night of her not being nursed before bed) but other than that the girls were good. Bro and SIL slept over since they live 1 1/2 hours away.
Today we had pancakes and bacon for late breakfast and then they took off so that bro could see the NASCAR race.
I can’t wait to get out again!
