So tired.
This morning we got up around 8ish. Peanut was pretty tired from yesterday’s craziness. At breakfast and was out the door by 9:30; Pictures were at 10.
By 11am I was back on the road heading back to Niagara Falls.
Back up 3 days…we called the Canada Border Services Agency to see what was required to have Mom take Munchkin across the border without us. We needed a notarized letter of permission. At first we thought that wouldn’t be too tough. Ugh. We were wrong. Okay, it would have been easy if we wanted to spend $75. I would be willing to get a lawyer to write a letter for $75 if they were going for an extended vacation, but for a 90 minute performance? You’ve got to be kidding me. It was decided that I would drive across the border with Mom and Munchkin drop them off and do some shopping.
We all had lunch and then shuffled off to Buffalo! Mom got tickets for Elmo Makes Music at Shea’s. We finally told Munchkin when we arrived at the theatre! She was excited!
I went to Linens and Things and the Walden Galleria to do some shopping and then made it back to Shea’s to pick them up. Mom had bought Munchkin this light-up spinning Elmo thing, a program from the show (pretty much the story line with pictures) and a CD of all the music. She was spoiled! But she had had so much fun!
Peanut, Munchkin and I dropped Grandma off and then flew back to Oakville in time to make it to Colleen’s surprise birthday party. We didn’t make it for the “surprise” part though. Colleen was still happy we made it tho. Tobias is a chef so we ate like kings! The kids had fun playing together and the adults all had a chance to relax and chat. It was a late, but fun, night!
Now I’m ready to fall over.
