Phew. I survived.
Today was a busy day. After breakfast, I packed the girls in the car and headed for my mom’s. After a quick bathroom break, a snack and moving of a car seat, we were out the door again to my Grandma’s (Munchkin calls her “GG”…cuz Great Grandma is a mouthful!).
Grandma had a fall in early January and has been getting slowly better. She’s frustrated because she wants to get better faster; she’s not one for sitting still. I knew that she’d enjoy a visit with the girls. Especially to see Peanut walking!
So we went for lunch and the girls enjoyed playing with her walker! It was funny to see Peanut push this big thing around. Mom did some grocery shopping for her. By that time the girls were getting restless so we headed back to Mom’s.
It had started to snow by that point and by the time we hit home (Mom’s home) it was really really snowing. I helped mom install her printer and decided to wait until after rush hour to head back to home (my home). Hubby had called and said that it was really bad there and to wait a bit.
Since it wasn’t too bad in the Falls, Mom took us to Zappi’s for pizza! Yummy! The girls were awesome!! It was already nearing bedtime so it could have gone very badly. Munchkin ate 3 slices of pizza and Peanut ate 1 1/2. That’s amazing for them.
After changing Peanut and giving her her bottle of milk, I started the drive for home…without Munchkin!
No, I didn’t forget her. My mom has a special surprise for her tomorrow so she’s sleeping over. Also Peanut’s 1 year pictures are tomorrow and it will be easier with only one child to juggle!
So I’m home now and it only took me 20 minutes extra to get here in all the snow. Not too bad.
Tomorrow is going to be another busy day.
