Merry
by Shel SilversteinNo one’s hanging stockings up,
No one’s baking pie,
No one’s looking up to see
A new star in the sky.
No one’s talking brotherhood,
No one’s giving gifts,
And no one loves a Christmas tree
On March the Twenty-Fifth.
It’s not March 25th…but we’re having our white Christmas today!
We’ve shoveled 3 times today! Muchkin’s loving it because she gets to play in the snow.
Me: “Munch, we have to go outside and shovel the snow.”
Munchkin: “And I get to make snow angels!!!!”
Me: “Yes. Yes, you do.”
Our snow banks are so big at the sides of the driveway, that Munchkin can use them for tobogganing. It’s too funny to see her pull her little sled to the top of the bank and slide down. You’d think it was a mountain the way she yells “Weeeee!” on her way down.
All I have to say is that this better be the last snow storm because I go back to work on Tuesday.
