in a river in egypt

January 28, 2009 by Wendy S

Yes, I’m in denial.

Peanut has been chewing on anything and everything lately. Tonight at bedtime I saw her chewing on her blankie. I laid her down on the bed and had her open her mouth. And there it is. Two tiny specks of white, peeking out at me.

Left lower second molar.

Um…in English that means “2 year molar”!!

My baby isn’t due to turn 2 until mid March but already she is doing 2 year old stuff. It’s crazy. She’s even potty training!

One night I told Muchkin that it’s time to get ready for bed. That she needs to go upstairs, go peepee and brush your teeth. We all parade upstairs, Munchkin starts getting ready and I start putting toothpaste on Peanut’s toothbrush.

Peanut says “I peepee”

So Munchkin finished and I put Peanut on the toilet and she peed! It was the biggest celebration and she clapped!

So my MIL has been working with her for the last few weeks and there have been a few days where she only has one wet diaper (the one after her nap). The trick is to give her a penny every time she goes! My bet is the kid is going to be able to afford a new pair of shoes when she’s fully trained.
