I work for a large municipality and I’m unionized. We have been without a contract since the end of January. As of Friday, the Ministry of Labour signed the no board report, meaning that our union will be in a legal strike position as of 12:01 a.m. on Monday, June 22.
Unfortunately, no one is talking.
If nothing happens by June 22nd, we’ll be on strike.
I’m not going to say too much about this. I’ll just stick with the facts so that I don’t get myself in trouble with the union or my employer.
