Rock the W.A.V.E.

February 10, 2011 by Wendy S

Rock the Wave
Over the last few months, I’ve been able to watch the 2nd annual Rock the W.A.V.E. concert come to life.  My freinds Rhonda and Robin have been working very hard to find the venue, get the bands and line up some amazing sponsors.BigDaddy has donated his time and creative talents to design the logo, posters, and tickets.

All the money raised will go to the Halton Women’s Place.

About Rock the W.A.V.E.

Rock the W.A.V.E.‘s Mission is to support organizations that help end domestic violence against women.Rock the WAVE is a group who’s passion is to end violence against women.

Violence occurs against women of all age, race, social status and income. After meeting a woman who had been a victum of domestic violence and witnessing the courage she had in leaving the situation. Two women were called into action. With a passion for music, hosting a benefit concert to raise awareness and funds to end domestic violence against women was conceived. Having contact with up-and-coming band members, local talent join the cause to put on a rocking night of live music.

Rock the W.A.V.E. was formed to unite the World Against Violence Everywhere (W.A.V.E.) through a fun night of great music and people from all walks of life gathering under one roof. It is our goal to increase awareness of this issue and what each of us can do about it.

So join them on March 5th and help make a difference!!
