the idiot’s guide to irony?

January 12, 2012 by Wendy S

Yesterday I blogged that I didn’t know where my blog was going.

BigDaddy was confused when I got home.  “Are you still blogging?” he asks.

“Yes, I’m still blogging. I just want to blog more for myself.  I feel that I have deadlines to meet all the time.  I need to make sure everything is balanced.”

Let’s backtrack to Sunday…. In my quest to learn WordPress, I got “The Idiot’s Guide to WordPress” from the library.  Even though I’ve learned a lot about WordPress from building several sites, I wanted to start with the basics to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

Last night I sat down to read… Chapter One: Blogging Basics.  First line… “It all starts with a plan”

Irony:  inconsistency between an actual and an expected result of a sequence of events

I expected to advance my knowledge in WordPress and I get blindsided with the direction I was looking for.

So I could take 2 things from this.  One… I’m an idiot when it comes to blogging or …two… I’m on the right track.  (Let’s go with the 2nd)

Next step — coming up with a plan.
