See that smiling little girl to the left of this post, that is Stella. Almost 1 year ago, I was emailed by my friend, Christine, asking me for help. Help for Stella. This adorable little girl was diagnosed with the ugliest cancer. Her moms needed financial help to be able to stay home with her for her last few months of life.
Stella has beaten all the odds. She’s been fighting this nasty cancer that is taking her life for almost a year. One whole year. Truly a miracle.
I have been following her journey through her moms’ posts on her blog: Stella JoyI have learned so much about life, courage, love, determination, and joy from this little girl. With every post, her moms’ pour out their love for their little girl, the emotions of heart-break and celebration as they roller-coaster through this journey.
Today I read Mishi’s post from June 10th and like every post, I end up in tears. But today I had to share with you what she wrote. Mishi has a call for action. One that we all must do.
“Do me a favour— if you are lucky enough to have one, give your child an extra squeeze tonight and no matter how mad they make you tomorrow, remember that there is at least one mom out there who would give her life to feel her child hug her back one more time.”
A quote from Mishi on her post “Running”

(please read her post…you really can feel her emotions in her writing)
