the bond between sisters (or the one where I just want her to turn her alarm off)

May 24, 2013 by Wendy S

5:00 am – Alarm goes off. I hit snooze.
5:09 am – Alarm goes off. I hit snooze.

I do this 5 more times until I finally decide to drag myself out of bed at 5:47am. Yep. Now I’m running late.

I’m not a morning person. I don’t like getting out of bed.  And I don’t like getting out of bed that early.  Funny thing (or maybe not so funny), I have to do this every morning.  I’m not always late.  But repeatedly hitting the snooze button is common.

Start working my way through my routine and I hear Rachel’s alarm going off.

“Why is her alarm going off at 6am? She doesn’t have to be up until 7”

I keep getting ready (remember…I’m late)

I look in my bed. Nope she’s not there.  Right, I sent her back to her room in the middle of the night.

Gotta get dressed.

“Ok, kid.  Turn the alarm off already.  Is 6:09 am and this is annoying now!”

I laugh. She’s like me. She can sleep through an alarm.  I’m impressed…a little.

Strangely, it’s not waking anyone up.

I make my way down the hall to get her to turn it off.  She’s not in her bed.  I turn the alarm off.

Back to my room.  “How did I miss her?  When did she crawl back in my bed?”

Not there.

I go back down the hall to check to see if Lauren is in her bed.

This is what I find….

How can you be annoyed at this?!?!  I love these two so much!!

With a full heart, I make my way downstairs and off to work.  Happy Friday!!

Do your kids do things that surprise your every once in a while??
