Packing lunches has never been my favourite activity. I try to give the girls different things to eat but so how or another they end up with sandwiches, veggies and fruit.
With school only a few weeks away, I’m trying to come up with some different ideas to make lunch more exciting for the girls. The balanced day breaks still can be a challenge. I try to give them a bunch of little things to eat so that they can pick and choose what they eat at each break.
This Brocolli, Chicken & Pesto Rotini Salad would be fun in smaller portions!

Thinking inside the box…the bento box
To make it “bento-style” (and this might sound a little funny), take the dish a part. Take 3 containers and separate out the chicken, broccoli and the remainder of the salad. This will allow your kids to have finger foods!
I know that my girls love to have fun with with there food and there is nothing more fun than eating with their hands!
So parents…if you’re stuck in a the sandwich-rut like me, think in side the box!
