Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” finds space adventurer Peter Quill the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.
Surprise at the screening
Earlier in the day, I was looking all of the photos and videos being shared on Facebook and Twitter. Dave Bautista had appeared on several TV and radios shows that morning. I casually mentioned to Craig, “wouldn’t it be neat if Bautista was at the screening.”
When I arrived at t the theatre, there was a line up of media cameras and media people with microphones. I confirmed that Dave Bautista was going to be there!
My review:
That. Was. Awesome!!!!!!!! #GuardiansOfTheGalaxy

It was awesome! It really was!
The graphics were fantastic, the characters were amazing, costumes and make-up were phenomenal and the story was funny/moving/exciting/thrilling/awesome!
Did I mention it was awesome?

Bautista as Drax
It’s so hard to talk about the movie without giving anything away! There were so many quotable one-liners or things that the characters do that I want to tell you about, but it would ruin the experience for you!
I will say that it’s probably not a good movie for young children. It’s rated PG-3 due to the violence and language. But also following the storyline could be difficult for smaller children. Rachel, who’s almost 10, I think would enjoy this movie and would get most of the jokes. Lauren, who’s 7, might get lost trying to figure out the characters and the storyline.
As will all movies, I’ll check with Common Sense Media to see what they have to say — read their review here.
