For the 9th year, Craig and I are going to be joining the Volunteer Builders to help improve a summer camp in some way.
This year, we building at Pearce Williams Christian Centre.
The main project is a barn and all of the benches needed for them to hold their camp programs.
Youth for Youth
When we found out that the build is at a United Church camp, Craig and I wanted to get our Senior Youth Group involved. We contacted the VB Build Directors and put the wheels in motion.
On Friday, 11 youth, 4 adult volunteers, Craig and I will be joining the Volunteer Builders for the day!
We’ll help with building benches, painting, staining, and other projects to help with making Pearce Williams better for the youth who will attend camp this summer and many summers in the future.
We love that our Youth Group will have the chance to be a part of something bigger, something for other kids. They can use their time and talents to give back!
Pre-Build Excitement
Every build project that Volunteer Builders does, has some “pre-build” work that needs to be done in preparation for the 5-day build weekend. The barn that is being built required a lot of posts to be set before the main work can begin. Craig and I have been watching the “pre-build” work that is going on at Pearce Williams via photos shared on Facebook by a friend.
I complied them in this album. This is so exciting!!
It’s going to be a great day!
The weather looks like it’s going to be perfect!!! I cannot express how excited that I am!
Follow the action!
On Friday, be sure to look for the hashtag #VB2014 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! Craig and I will be posting photos of all the fun we will be having!
