Maybe not skeletons, but there is a whole bunch of stuff in there that either needs to be vacated or organized so that I know what it is.
Since we’ve moved in our house, we’ve renovated almost every other room in the house: family room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, our bedroom and both girls’ rooms. Each of those rooms need the wallpaper removed, fresh paint and new blinds.
During each project furniture and other things get moved from place to place. The things that didn’t get moved back some how or another, got piled up in our walk-in closest in our master bedroom. It’s a mess.
We’re just putting the finishing touches in the ensuite…towel bars and toilet paper holder. You know, the important things. (There will be before and after pics of our bathroom coming…it’s a remarkable change)
The next task is our closet.
First step will be taking all the stuff out and figuring out if it goes in the toss, keep or sell pile. There will be one rule to follow — if we haven’t touched in 2 years, it’s outta here! I’m thinking that a lot of stuff will be in the toss or sell pile.
Why is getting rid of stuff so hard? And why has it taken us so long to put ourselves first?
